CK Contracts was originally set up to provide
labour to concrete repair contractors. However, due to an increase
in demand in the market, our services and skills have grown to an
ever increasing variety providing quality labour to contractors
as well as now undertaking jobbing lines for the Local Council.
CK Contracts has been around since 1997 but established to it's
present form since February 2000 where CK Contracts was based in
a static caravan and managed by Andrew King, company secretary was
Frances King and administration was undertaken by a part-time office
assistant. At this point in time CK Contracts also had two supervisors
to help organise and manage contracts on a day-to-day basis.
In 2002 CK Contracts had grown to a stage where there was an increased
requirement for administration and as a result a Business Development
/ Administration Manager was appointed to help develop the administrative
side of the business, setting up computer systems to cope with the
increasing workload. At this stage the office itself was increased
to a portacabin. This change enabled the Managing Director Andrew
King more time to maintain relationships with existing customers
as well as providing a resource to help make new clients.
Quality...
Since the commencement of BDM, CK Contracts has obtained quality
accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
CK Contracts are also registered with national databases Constructionline
and Link-Up, enabling us to carry out contracts for a wider client
base in the public sector and the railways.
In 2004 a Contracts Manager was employed to target new clients,
price and manage existing contracts. This enabled the Managing Director
to maintain relationships with CK Contracts clients such as North
Ayrshire Council and First Engineering.
The office has now increased in size to accommodate a full-time
administration assistant, individual offices and a reception area.
